The Fering Pioneer is a long-range, hybrid-electric expedition vehicle designed to operate across extreme terrain and in remote environments. At the heart of its lightweight architecture is a carbon-fibre monocoque tunnel chassis engineered to withstand demanding operational conditions. Kamm was commissioned to develop the tooling and manufacture the 3.7-metre chassis using pre-preg carbon fibre and autoclave curing, within strict programme deadlines and constraints. The project required precise adherence to a demanding laminate schedule to ensure the structural performance and durability necessary for the vehicle's intended application. Following the initial programme, Kamm undertook a second phase of work to deliver a complete chassis assembly, drawing on its extensive experience in manufacturing and assembling large-scale composite structures.
